Craig and Rory May at Dragon Forge are no strangers to big projects. The company’s clients are typically members of the upper class–"the top 0.1 percent of the 1 percent,” as Rory puts it–so the team is usually working on second homes, and often, without a budget. One of the largest projects they worked on was the Great Northern Lodge in Whitefish, Montana, for which they built seven chandeliers, seven fireplace doors and two custom table bases (the photo shows hand-forged hooks that the chandeliers hang from). A project of that size takes time, especially because Dragon Forge doesn’t buy parts for their work. “Every detail is hand forged. All of the stuff that we do is very custom, and people usually have a challenge of a theme. It’s really where we excel.” (@terryratzlaff @incmagazine) #custom #challenge #teamwork #dragonforgeltd #dirtysmith #familybusiness
