I went to an #Abana conference in Memphis a couple years ago. There was a gentleman there who was to demo and lecture on photography. There was no discussion about framing, lighting or any theory behind taking a pic. He just jumped into the apps of photoshop and Lightroom. I thought it was going to be more how to take a photo, as most who were sitting there had their point and shoot cameras. Who could blame them? I sat down expecting the same thing. About half way I figured this was, like most lectures I have attended, an attempt to farm for work. This pic all from my iPhone and the adjustments through the Instagram app. Ideally I try to have minimal editing as possible and let the photo be a true rep of the work, there is a lot you can do with what you already have available. With a white paper and a couple lights you an get far. And for what it's worth, I try to show some depth and texture in our photos. #blacksmith #dragonforgeltd #blacksmithing #dirtysmith #chandelier #ignoreTheString
