Quick center punch for the #powerhammer 4140 asks for a hardening temp of 1525/1575f (bright orange) I'm going a little less (1500+) as it's going under the hammer and keeping it on the softer side. Oil quench #quenchingsauce then temper. #blacksmithing #heattreating #toolporn #dirtysmith
